Managing a Crisis, how would your school cope?
Managing a Crisis, how would your school cope?
This course looks at the evolution of a major emergency and gives an insight in to how schools can respond to the generic aspects of all crisis situations. Using a mix of theory and a very a dynamic scenario, delegates will experience some of the stresses associated with dealing with aspects such as controlling information flows, managing frightened parents and staff, handling press enquiries, business recovery and the long term effects of having had a crisis in school. This course is aimed at senior managers but is also valuable to staff who find themselves in the school overnight and at weekends and may therefore be the first point of contact when the unthinkable happens.
Previous attendees have commented: “One of the fastest number of hours of my life”, “this should be compulsory for all Heads before they start their role”, “very interesting, very scary but somehow great fun”.
